I personally think...

That they seriously need to do deeper background checks when bringing in new recruites for the NYC Police Department, What I mean by that is a mental background check.

This afternoon, I was leaving my place to run a few errands. I noticed a police car slowly passing by. I really didn't think anything of it, until they stopped me two blocks away from my place. The problem I have with this is, not only did they stop in the middle of the street, it's how one of the officers approached me. This is how it went:

Officer: What's your name?
Me: Why do you need to know my name?
Officer: Because I am asking.
Me: Again, the reason you need to know my name is because --
Officer: We are doing an investigation.
Me: So wouldn't it be best to say, excuse me Miss I am doing an investigation and would like to know if -- Not what's your name.
Officer: (drives off)

Now, again does anyone else see the problem here? He wasn't investigating crap. He was trying to investigate my number. Its a huge issue when police officers use their power in an inappropriate manner.

I was pi$$ed for a few hours. Bastards!
